Given the state of the economy and the limp response from congress to what works in the real world as opposed to the political hand out world (special Interests) it's no surprise that Americans are going from Tea Party public events to speaking directly with the weasels they elected to represent them in the Halls of Government.  Why the 'Clunker Bill' is another example of crapping on the good people for favors from campaign cash, why does a serial gas guzzler auto get a new auto TAXPAYER PAID discount and the responsible car buyer get to foot the bill?  Hey, many of these "clunkers" are in such good shape as to be wanted to escape the crusher with real cash waving a black market hand around the program...how's that for a government that looks more like a Banana Republic inventing OUR future?  Why do the folks that have been a greater cause of America's dependence on foreign oil and causing greater pollution the only recipients of this program?  All the good long term citizens that have been pursuing an environmental life paradigm of efficient auto or transportation regime are left paying for this handoff to the worst of the road warriors in society....and congress thinks this is a good program!  Why do voters return these 'idiots' to office?   Even the  German equivalent is to simply get rid of old less efficient and safe autos, apparrently DC has pet constituents when it spends Chinese borrowed money as Timmy Geithner speaks expletives to fellow meeting members, I guess things are going well in the Beltway with so many "usefull Idiots" doing our work. It would be nice if a program would just reward the high mileage car drivers with the same hang the $4500 around their own unborn progeny their replacement new auto with the same game.  One just needs to look at Arlen Specter in campaign mode to realise that 'change' might just be the next election.
